CORONAVIRUS POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Follow these official company policies below ... whether on the road or at home!

If you are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, you are required to call the office immediately whether you are working in the office, you are at home, or you are on the road. Drivers should not continue to run, as customers are not allowing drivers with symptoms to deliver at their locations. Do not interact with others. Any employee who is exhibiting any of the above respiratory illness symptoms is required to stay home.

If you have been exposed to someone who is exhibiting symptoms of Coronavirus, or under investigation for Coronavirus, or has tested positive for Coronavirus, stay home and call the office immediately.

Follow these tips to keep yourself and others safe: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-sick.html.

TO AVOID GETTING SICK AND SLOW THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS

Wash Your Hands Frequently

  • Wash your hands frequently with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Use hand sanitizer when possible, especially after completing work outside your truck.

Glove Use

  • Gloves are required for all on-the-job tasks where employees may be exposed.

  • Drivers should use work gloves for all loading and unloading as usual. If you need a new pair, please let us know.

  • Disposable gloves have been provided and are required when fueling, picking up fuel receipts, handling paperwork, or in any situation when you are touching buttons, controls or screens.

  • Gloves will also be required for shop and office employees for all tasks.

Face Mask Use

  • At the beginning of April, the CDC started recommending face mask use in order to reduce the wearer’s risk of inhaling or spreading hazardous airborne particles, including infectious agents.

  • Employees are required to cover their nose and mouth at the terminal, and over-the-road whenever outside the truck, especially when in spaces with other people.

  • We have provided face masks for your use and will provide more every week, as supplies permit. Remember to wash any cloth masks, or bandanas being used as masks, when you are home. If you need more masks, please let us know. More instructions on using and making face masks.

  • If you need more face masks or bandanas/bands, please contact the office.

Social Distancing

  • Keep a distance of at least 6 feet from others at all time, no matter if you are on the road, or at the terminal or office.

  • If you need to talk to one of our managers or staff, please call instead of talking in-person.

  • Do not congregate or stop to chat with anyone at truck stops, the yard, the office or in the shop.

  • Do not stop into the office or shop area to chat or drop off paperwork. Leave paperwork in the designated area near the mailboxes.

  • Keep extra distance from anyone who appears to be sick.

Frequent Cleaning

  • Clean frequently touched surfaces in the offices, shop and inside and outside the trucks, such as door handles, keyboards, tools and steering wheels. Disinfecting products will provided. Follow the directions for maximum effectiveness.

  • Call the office if you are running low on cleaning supplies and we will arrange a pick up area and time for you to get more.

Don't Touch Your Face

  • To help prevent spread of disease and infections, keep your hands away from your eyes, nose, and mouth.

IF YOU ARE FEELING SICK

  • If you are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, you are required to call the office immediately whether you are at home, working at one of our offices, or out on the road.

  • Drivers should not continue to run, as customers are not allowing drivers with symptoms to deliver at their locations.

  • Any employee who is exhibiting any of the above respiratory illness symptoms is required to stay home or return home. Do not interact with others.

IF YOU HAVE HAD CLOSE CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO IS SICK
